Sometimes, I really don't know what to write. Nothing seems important enough.
I am currently reading Hairy Snout, Human Heart, though. I suppose that's somewhat interesting? The book is written from the perspective of a werewolf and the many struggles he faces with lycanthropy. Though it makes it hard to sleep at night (because some of the descriptions turn my stomach), I can't help feeling sorry for him every few pages. |

When did it become 31 October already? Time flies when you're no longer in Azkaban apparently.
Happy Halloween. Here's to hoping you get your fair share of ice mice, licorice, and other sweets. Consider yourselves the lucky ones if you do. |

The weather is changing still and I think I'm coming down with a cold. It's too bad we aren't allowed to stay in bed all day and be waited on hand and foot like we were at home or school. And how dad would always make...get me... That's one of one-hundred thousand things I miss. |

There are times - like today, for example - that I'm sad about never finishing school. Sitting here and watching yet another rainy afternoon slip by, I can't help but wonder about all the things I missed out on learning and doing. Dreadful though I was at Potions, I did enjoy things like Ancient Runes (which I had only just started) and anything that dealt with Charms.
While here, Professor Snape has allowed me to read one book at a time, so long as he approves of it. Today, I learned that Alihotsy causes hysteria and that a Fanged Geranium will actually bite humans. Those are two things I didn't know before today. What else did I miss out on? |

I can hear the rain pouring outside. For once, the sound doesn't feel me with dread. In Azkaban, I nearly froze to death whenever it rained and always came down with a nasty cold. It got to the point where I hated the rain, despite how much I loved it at school. Now, I can't even feel the cold here and am so grateful to be indoors. The sound is, surprisingly, even somewhat pleasant now. |

I don't know what to write in here, especially since it's frowned upon to whine or complain about my current situation. So, to avoid doing that, I suppose I can focus on the positive(s):
1. It's warmer here. 2. My fingers and arms are less sore. 3. It's not Azkaban |

[Written after this.]
I hope this works..
I was practicing taking photographs of a live subject yesterday and was doing relatively well up until she started hiccoughing. It completely ruined the shots and I didn't realise how badly until I developed them today. There's really no point in salvaging them, even if the first few look well enough, but I should really just give up on taking photographs of live subjects. It's not the first time I've mess up with this - the last time, I made the person look pretty silly. So landscapes and maybe animals are all I should stick in the future. |

Aujourd'hui n'est pas un beau jour. Je le déteste vraiment ici. Je veux rentrer à la maison. Papa de joyeux anniversaire.

I didn't get a warning today. It was strange being back in Ravenclaw after so many years and seeing my old dormitory. Other than a pretty thick layer of dust and the drapes being eaten a bit by doxies, nothing has really changed much. It almost felt like being home once again for a short time, even if He was somewhere in the castle.
The person watching us clearly wasn't a Ravenclaw though. They accidentally missed the common room door closing and had a hilariously horrible time of getting back in. I don't think they're very good at riddles. |

I was told recently that I've been neglectful with pasting my pictures in here. I'm sorry. I hope these suffice and will tide you lot over until I have more time actually take some and develop them. Between my chores and the restoration duties, I'm afraid that downtime has been spent catching up on sleep.
Though, I did get a few extra hours' warning about my duties tomorrow.

I just got my ten minute warning.
It seems that the rest of my chores around Mr. Travers's place will have to wait until later this evening. I only have a few minutes to write before leaving, but I wanted to write and tell Mr. Worried-pants that my finger is all healed.
Also, Ritche, I don't believe it's possible to catch up for lunch or dinner today since I'll be going to Hogwarts to work for several hours. I hate it there. HE's there. Maybe I'll be working with Professor Trelawney again, like last time. |

I think it's going to rain today so Mr. Travers will likely be inside since they don't seem to go riding whenever it's wet out and I love it. Nothing is as calming as when it rains.
Porquoi aimez vous la pluie? Parce qu’elle me fait penser à mon enfance.
Two certain someones will be glad to know that they won't have to turn gray headed anytime soon because my hand is almost completely healed up. There was only an infection for a day or two, but the house-elf was kind enough to find me some stronger antiseptic to clean it out and then it just scabbed over on its own and healed up very nicely. I don't even need to wrap it in tissue paper anymore and can go about my chores without having to be extra cautious about getting this or that in the cut.
So I guess I'll just have to find other ways to have two people sprout gray hairs!
[Why do you love the rain so much? Because it makes me think about my childhood.] |

I only have a few minutes to write..
These new "restoration" duties have kept me really busy the past week. Between finishing my chores and reporting for duty (I guess that's a good enough way to put it) to clean up whatever needs to be cleaned, there has been absolutely no downtime and I'm exhausted. That also means that there hasn't been any time to visit with Mr. Travers's horses or take pictures. However, it's nice getting out though and seeing other people.
I managed to cut myself the other day while picking up trash in Diagon Alley though. It's a bit infec But it's not too bad and should heal eventually.
Maybe later I -- have to go now.
[Added later] Hogwarts has changed a lot from the way I remember it. |

I hate it when he writes in only French. Thank goodness it switched over or I'd have no idea what he was talking about.
Tomorrow, I have to help out in Diagon Alley with rebuilding what those alleged traitors was destroyed. |

I'm sorry. I realised earlier today that it's been nearly a month since I actually wrote something of my own as opposed to leaving a random comment here and there to everyone else. Nothing of consequence has really happened though. Mr. Travers has kept me busy with my chores and my French lessons, and unless anyone's even remotely interested in reading about his horses or how difficult learning a new language is (especially the grammar and the conjugations), I really don't know what else to write.
I'm sorry, Natalie, that I wasn't able to come Friday. I really wanted to though...
Je souhaite que je pourrais voir mes amis. Je manque mon papa et tous les autres. |

[May. 28th, 2009|11:45 pm] |
This week has flown by really fast. Or maybe it's because I've been kept kept myself so busy with my chores and everything else I'm required to do. The wedding's Saturday and I'm required to help out there, too.
I don't think I'll ever have the chance to say what I really want to write.

I only just remembered that there is another wedding this weekend where I'm supposed to help set up and do whatever the happy is required of me. Will it be themed, too? If so, I can't imagine the pressure of living up to a pirate wedding! As far as creativity goes, that one certainly took the booty? ha cake.
No pictures this time. I've been really busy and haven't had time to take any I'm happy with or develop them.
Rose, Luka, Seamus, Ritchie, Colin, and everyone else - will I see you there? Oh, better cross that out. |

[The page is littered with a few smatterings of ink and mixed with tears.]
I don't can't have been trying to understand the next part of my French lessons, but I've reached something I don't quite understand. I don't don't want to understand conjugating the verb "to be," but the book has moved on to Present Continuous. So instead of saying: "I will be eating," would I change it to "I am eating?" What if it's "He is eating?" |
